Rails 2.3 RC 2 Released (with awesome release notes)
It was over a month ago that Rails 2.3 Release Candidate 1 was released with the note that it'd be a "longer than average release candidate phase" due to all of the amazing things that are going in to 2.3. So now, we have Release Candidate 2! It's billed as a "final stop before release" so if you've been holding off on testing things out, now is a great time.
One of the greatest sideshows to all of this is the Ruby on Rails 2.3 Release Notes. Impeccably put together and with a snazzy (and incredibly functional!) new design, you'd find it hard to hate these. The notes briefly cover all of the new features with code examples abound. Great work!
Also be sure to check out Ryan Bates' screencasts of Rails 2.3 features, including: app templates, Rails Engines, and Rails Metal.
